The Cowboys season is finally over and it was probably one they would like to forget, finishing on the bottom of the ladder again. The young guns who only joined the NSWRL First Division Competition this season have secured a home ground advantage for the first semi final and look like they can go all the way. Congratulations to Murray and the boys and good luck in the finals.

Well with the Cowboys season over the workload takes on a different role at this time of the year. Straight after the Cowboys Presentation Ball, which will take place on the main field this year, we will be starting our yearly field renovations.

June started off fairly quietly with the local schools Mime Show, but what a way to finish the month with Ride the Rage Bull-riding. Competitors from all over the world competing in three shows in two days which involved one turn over clean and two post cleans. A great job and a true team effort were given by all!

Special thanks to Tony and Kevin from Karcher Townsville who came to the rescue with a walk behind scrubber to the get rid of last of the dirt and stains.

The former stars of the wrestling will be coming to Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre on August 11 with guest referee Joe Bugner, and will be followed by Making Minerals Groove.
