As the world focus moves toward Sydney for the 2000 Olympic Games, in Cleanevent Australia we are looking at the future also but for different reasons. There are many challenges ahead of us with new markets to open up and new customers to develop whilst maintaining the existing.

The success of these ventures is reliant upon having the correct resources available all of the time. In our case, the resources are the people and systems that will drive our business forward at a critical and exciting time.

Like any organisation that grows we need to have the mechanisms and the systems in place when we say go. At the recent management conference in Sorrento Victoria, we had the opportunity to launch part of our business plan to the senior management who are charged with the responsibility to follow through and deliver that plan over the rest of this financial year.

Our plan roll out highlighted the following:

• The appointment of a new State Manager in NSW and a new Business Development Manager for Cleanevent Australia.

• New territories that we will be operating in over the months and years ahead.

• The strengths of our finance and administration departments.

• The IT consolidation that we will be beneficiaries of after Games. This consists of our own proprietary software as well as applied commercial software.

• Marketing that has purpose.

• Training and development programs that our Human Resources department will roll out over the months ahead.

• And last but not least the capability of our team in the senior management area.

All of the above gives rise to the confidence that we are at the forefront of our industry and we have no peer. We will continue to give all of our staff the opportunity to grow within an ever-expanding company and develop their skills to the limits of their capacities.
